P-E Funds, Hedge Funds, and SPACs: What are They? What Do Divorce Attorneys Need to Know?

Join us on February 15, 2022, for a virtual seminar presented by Sandra Klevan, CPA/ABV, CFF, and Jeremy Smith, ASA. Sandra and Jeremy are the Managing Directors of Financial Research Associates (FRA).

The seminar will provide information helpful to the family law attorney in understanding cases involving interests in complex investment entities and vehicles. These include Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs).

The presenters will provide a basic understanding of the inner workings of each of these complex investment vehicles, pointing out key terms and areas critical for the divorce attorney to understand. They will also educate the attendees on important valuation concepts. The program will also provide some insight into issues that may arise in the context of a divorce proceeding when one of these investment vehicles are involved. Finally, panelists will enlighten the audience with recent trends involving SPACs, Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds.
